A Lesson in a Western

While washing dishes, I tuned into a western that my cousin was watching. I have no idea what the name of it was, but there was an old lady giving a traveler a bit of advice.

As she fed him from her pot of beans, she told him this;"A bird eats a seed, s#!*s it out into the grass, the grass fertilizes it and grows a tree to bear fruit. The bird has a purpose. The s#!* has a purpose and the grass had a purpose. See, everything we go through has it's purpose." In life, we often just see the tree full of fruit and never think about everything it took for that tree, that once was a seed possibly covered in...you get my point...to blossom and bear sweet fruit.

There are times in which we are the bird, searching to fill the hunger inside of us so we can focus on our flight. The seed, full of greatness, waiting to planted to grow. The poop, a complete mess, but able to enhance others by sharing our stories. The grass, nurturing seeds to develop their growth. The tree, finally coming into your purpose, sharing the fruit of your knowledge to others to create a mighty forest.
